Jumping For Joy

Liz Friedman Jumping For Joy

Yesterday I met up with my good friend Fanny Karst and her new pal Liz Friedman. We first met  in London a few years ago and discovered that we share a great appreciation for older people inspired by our wonderful grandmothers. Fanny designs a gorgeous collection of made to measure printed dresses called The Old Ladies Rebellion . She is in New York until the end of the month showing her latest designs (by special appointment) and finding inspiration along the way. It was great to meet Fanny’s new friend and muse, Liz, who was a great sport when I asked if she would jump in the air for a quick street style snap!

  • A great sport indeed! And a good jumper!

  • this is a great snap. well captured.

  • She should jump for joy- her outfit is a wonder. I adore her jacket/cardigan thing with the tailored black on the rest. Perfecto!

  • Que fabulosa fotografía. Gracias por compartir. Quiero transmitirte el espíritu de la navidad en este especial Christmas Decor! Déjame hacerlo. Besos y besos.

  • YES!!! Alive, Vital, Athletic, and Cheerful…..this photo says it all and is the new poster child for the over age 65. I still wish there was a word for us other than retired or elderly. You know so many creative people…..lets come up with a word that captures the "NEW/OLD"??????????

  • Hi Liz, great to see you!

  • Best photo yet. If this is what is ahead, for even a few of us, then things are looking up! I'm committing this image to memory, to pull it out and look at it on the tough days.
(Perhaps bookmarking might be easier …)

  • oh , amazing energy woman !

  • Golly how I love jumping UP! It's the coming down part that is hard…but then that is life. Right?
