Malcah Zeldis On Style

It’s always a privilege to run into artist, Malcah Zeldis. She is not only one of my favorite artists but also one of the wisest women I have ever known. In contemplating the power of style as we age she says, “As you grow older you sometimes have a greater fear of dying, but when you look well, you think to yourself, I’m not gonna die. You are closer to your death than ever before, but if you look so good than how can you be close to death? Maybe that’s what’s behind looking good. You will outsmart death and death will be in love with you and not want to take you.”-Malcah Zeldis

I love this lady's personal style, and although I respect her opinion and ideals, I respectfully see it another way. When your face (and sometimes body) fade into "wallpaper, or sometimes the "paste", you want to celebrate your personality and creativity by presenting yourself well.

Death is a reality, and most of us want to push it out, knowing we can't hide from it.

As Rita Moreno says "Drink from the fountain of love and happiness". Ari, Rita would be a great guest on this blog. She is in her 80's, has fantastic style, and is such a cool lady.

    Silver Studs,
I don't have a fear of dying. I accept my mortality. I don't believe in an afterlife, and just like Phyllis Diller, my "religion" is kindness. Death is a reality, it's the "Dash" I am concerned with. We're just different flavors.
