Pink Coat

This lady looked lovely in her pink felted wool jacket which she wore on at trip to The New Museum. Her husband gave me a little information about the jacket:

The “pink” jacket was purchased in a small shop in Nida, Lithuania, in July, 2008. The shop is 50 yards from the summer home that the Nobel Prize author, Thomas Mann, built in 1929 and had to abandon in 1933. The jacket, made of felt, was made in a Lithuanian workshop. The model was on a one week bicycle tour at the time. She lives in San Francisco and graduated from Radcliffe over 50 years ago.

Winter Glamour

Smilla took the wonderful photos above. She was out shooting and followed by a German TV crew that is going to feature her photos. She writes of the experience meeting the lady above:

I met this wonderful lady while a TV crew joined my street-shooting day.She is married to a Brazilian actor. They lived for a long time together in Rio, Brazil, and she herself has been on stage as well. She seems to have an exciting life, taking all the chances and possibilities that come across her way.She worked together with a famous German theater photographer for example, then followed her husband to Brazil, is now back Cologne, and is looking forward to their 50th wedding anniversary. She was full of charm and in a lovely way surprised and excited about even two cameras around her, although this changed the quality of talking together quite a bit. Next Thursday the meeting will be shown in German TV.
